4年修订版。这部量子力学的精品教材以其简洁、独特的写作风格闻名于世。由于它的内容选取、讲授深度、设定的读者对象与我国理工科研究生基础理论课《高等量子力学》相吻合，因此我们强烈地向读者作了推荐。该书影印出版后，受到了读者的普遍欢迎。前不久，有幸见到了湖南大学物理系刘全慧教授的一篇博文《读一部高等量子力学著作，享一段快意人生》。该文评价Sakurai的《现代量子力学(第2版)(影印版)》精妙之处在于“抓住了量子力学的灵魂”，对书中关于对称性的处理方法大为赞赏。文中谈到他在网上调研结果，美欧大学物理系研究生高量课程教师中，推荐使用该书的比例超过80%。此外，文中也指出了该版的一些不足之处。
